New Event: HRFCC Community Webinar
Dear Flint Community Members,
On behalf of the Healthy Flint Research Coordinating Center (HFRCC), we were saddened to postpone the Annual Healthy Flint Research Coordinating Center (HFRCC) Research Symposium, but we must all do our part and follow the state and City’s recommendations that we postpone large gatherings. We remain committed to the annual event and will provide future updates on a new date when available.
We are writing today to extend an invitation to our community members and partners to join the 6th in our series of community webinars on Friday, April 24th from 12pm – 1 pm. The goal of the webinar is to give community members a chance to raise questions and to provide information on (1) how to prevent and reduce the spread of the coronavirus/COVID-19, (2) current trends in the spread of the virus, and (3) clarify sources for ongoing access to credible information.
We have invited multiple City and non-governmental agencies and service providers to join us for this webinar so you can have first-hand access to the best information and resources as we do our best to sustain the health of our community.
To access the webinar, please complete the RSVP form and a link will be provided for you to join. You will also have a chance when you register to pose questions in advance that we will share with webinar leaders to provide you with the most relevant information. The webinar is available to all Flint and Genesee County residents.
Email email@example.com for questions or more details.
The 2020 HFRCC Symposium has been canceled due to COVID-19 Risk
Note from HFRCC Symposium Planning Committee:
In light of the health risks associated with COVID-19, the Healthy Flint Research Coordinating Center (HFRCC) has decided to cancel our upcoming symposium planned for Friday, March 27th at the Flint Institute of Arts. In addition to rescheduling the Symposium to a later date, we are considering alternative methods to deliver some of the amazing content, such as a webinar on the morning of March 27th.
Thus, we will reach out to you in the upcoming days for your input and to provide updates. While we greatly regret the cancellation of our symposium, we value the health of our communities and believe this is the best approach to decrease the impact of this pandemic. Thank you for your expressions of enthusiasm for this annual symposium. Let’s keep that momentum going until the HFRCC can secure a new date and please takes measures to stay healthy!

…I thought the panel participants were well informed and genuinely shared with the audience how CERB could assist anyone who is interested in conducting sound research in Flint. Kudos! to all who made this event a success.
