Her mother shared the following about how she talked to Demiyah about COVID-19:
"The way I communicated COVID/vaccines to my child was from experience. She watch me go through COVID and I explained that mommy had a virus that made me really sick and that it would not last forever. I explained to her that the covid vaccine was like the vaccines she has to get for school."
